Carla grew up in British Columbia and moved to Washington in 1994 after marrying her husband James. They lived in the Seattle area for a few years, and relocated to Vancouver in 2000. Carla and James have three children: Alexa is nine, Travis is five and Carson is 9 months. Spending time with her family, hiking, camping and traveling are things she loves to do.

Carla completed her Bachelors in Social Work in 1991 and spent several years working in the healthcare field. In 2002 she accepted the position to lead Kid's Creek at River Rock. Carla is very passionate about building relationships with children and leading them to the Lord.
